Halifax are currently 15th in the table so what have you made of the season so far?
“Overall, I feel like it’s been a bad season to put it bluntly, considering our current position compared to the previous three seasons.
“Personally, I thought that this team had the potential to reach the play-offs, but that has not been the case.
“We lack consistency and have struggled to gain momentum, which will probably be our undoing at the end of the season.”
It is a victory in seven games in the league. Why haven’t things been going so well lately?
“The main factor is that we’ve been unlucky with injuries, especially considering that those injuries have been against key players like Spence, Summerfield and Warburton, who are all midfielders.
“Without an established midfield it’s really difficult to get the whole team to click, which we haven’t done in recent weeks.”
What are your expectations for the rest of the season?
“Hopefully, it’s hard considering that before Christmas I felt the team had the ability to make it to the play-offs.
“However, with the number of key injuries and the lack of consistency within the squad, I feel it looks more like a mid-table finish.”
Who is the danger?
“As I mentioned, most of our key players are injured, although in the last week Millie Ali seems to be causing the opposition some problems, scoring against Barnet last week.
“He’s a quick, skilled winger who’s really coming out of his shell and looking better and better every week.”
What’s the team news?
“Three new players joined the team in January.
“It’s Max Wright, Adam Senior, Fidel O’Rouke, who have impressed me so far.
“As I mentioned, Matty Warburton, Kian Spence, Luke Summerfield have been injured.
“Jamie Cook and Tom Clarke are just two more names to add to the long list of injuries.”
