Full card ready for Eubank vs Uruzquieta on Friday night

Harlem Eubank will use her spot as the headliner at Wasserman Boxing’s second action-packed show in a week to make a statement about her title intentions for the year.

Live and free on Channel 5 from 10pm on Friday, the unbeaten Eubank returns to York Hall to take on tough Mexican Christian Uruzquieta over 10 rounds and aims to set up a British title shot next.

Wasserman Boxing, in association with Ladbrokes, Numan and Infinitum Entertainment, have created a card that, pound for pound, is as packed with talent as any you’ll see anywhere, coming straight off the back of its sold-out tickets. show in Bolton last week, with 1.5 million people tuning in to watch it on Channel 5.

Super lightweight star Eubank headlines this week’s event that also sees the return of the destructive Matty Harris, one of Britain’s most fearsome heavyweight prospects, who has blasted his way through his last three first-round opponents.

Harris hopes to add to his knockout highlight reel when he trades blows with Milos Veletic in a fight no one believes will go the six-round distance.

There was also a tasty looking title match between Harry Scarff and Jordan Dujon on Friday’s show.

It’s Derby vs Barnet as Scarff and Dujon battle it out for the WBO European super welterweight belt.

German super welterweight world-ranked Abass Baraou fights for the second time in the UK, at York Hall on Friday night, in an eight-round bout with Ferenc Katona.

You won’t want to miss the British debut of Baraou compatriot Sophie Alisch, the fearsome featherweight preparing for world titles.

Alisch is up against the experienced Bec Connolly, who has tried a number of up-and-coming wrestlers in recent years, including Skye Nicolson and Ebanie Bridges, so Germany’s Sophie will try to set a marker as she looks to take her career to the next level.

Be sure to keep an eye out for Finchley’s Jesse Brandon, an Anthony Joshua protégé and a super lightweight with a huge future.

Brandon made his York Hall debut in November and returns to the spiritual home of British boxing this week to face Spaniard Borja Lopez in four rounds.

There are rumors about Codie Smith’s professional journey, which begins this week with Wasserman Boxing.

Smith boxed for England and Great Britain on the international amateur stage, but now turns his attention to the professional rankings and a four-round featherweight bout with Luca Genovese on Friday night.

There’s also a pro debut for Jurrell Patterson and a heavyweight outing for Peter Belberov.

Eubank vs Uruzquieta, live and open on Channel 5, from 10:00 p.m. on Friday
