Notts County boss Luke Williams admits it’s becoming a concern that his team are continually giving away the first goal in their post-game win over Eastleigh assessment.

Williams named new recruit Connor Lemonheigh-Evans in the starting line-up for the first time since arriving on loan from Stockport last month, with the Welshman turning in an encouraging performance and also getting an important 90 minutes to his credit.

The 26-year-old also played his part in the third attack, earning the opening header that led to Rodrigues’ second of the game, with the Magpies boss insisting there is plenty more to come from the striker.

“I think he did very well. I know Connor a little bit better than some of the other guys because I worked with him at Bristol.

“When he’s at his peak and when he’s fit, he’ll be another couple of levels above what we’re already seeing, so I’m very optimistic he’s going to be a key player for us going forward.”
