ITV Vera viewers meet Kenny Doughty’s replacement, and he’s familiar

Vera’s fans are convinced they’ve already figured out who will replace Aiden Healy, and it’s a familiar face. Kenny Doughty confirmed that he would be leaving ITV in a lengthy statement.

Now, fans think they know who will replace the ITV star. Joe Ashworth (played by David Leon), who was Vera’s partner from series one to four, has been reported by fans on Facebook.

Other viewers are debating whether Mark Edwards (Riley Jones) will step up and be Vera’s partner. One said: “David León was always my favorite Vera sergeant. He and Brenda Blethyn were great together. There was always a closeness there.”
