Steven Gerrard to take up new role following Aston Villa sacking

Aston Villa fans can watch Steven Gerrard during the international break, as the former manager is set for a new role.

The Liverpool legend was sacked by the Villa hierarchy in October 2022, ending his 11 months in charge of the club. A dismal 3-0 defeat at Fulham, to the club’s owners, left the team 17th in the table and prompted Nassef Sawiris to go after Unai Emery, who has since turned Villa’s fortunes around.
