Wolves sent ‘daylight robbery’ message after Nottingham Forest draw

Wolves managed to recover a crucial goal and point at Nottingham Forest as they continued their battle for Premier League survival.

Wolves traveled to the City Ground knowing that a poor result could land them in the relegation zone. Julen Lopetegui’s team wanted to score three important points at the City Ground to help them out of the relegation zone, but they were unable to shoot in attack.

Their task was made even more difficult when Brennan Johnson gave the home team the lead late on a clever team move near the end of the first half. Both sides subsequently had penalty appeals rejected as tempers flared on the touchline, while Wolves struggled to make the most of their dominance on possession.

Despite their struggles against Steve Cooper’s side, Daniel Podence’s late equalizer sparked scenes of jubilation at the visiting winger and handed Wolves an important point on the road. This is what some of his fans had to say about the giveaway on social media…

@adwwfc: It could be a very important point in the grand scheme of things, but we really need to start finding the back of the net more often. Especially since we have the habit of conceding extremely poor goals.

@DingleBal: Daylight robbery and one point will suffice: Chelsea next week.
