Jayde Adams prepares to perform four homecoming shows at Bristol Old Vic

Fresh off his many television appearances, including the outlaws (BBC One) by Neil Gaiman good omens (Amazon Prime), Strictly come dance (BBC One) and Bafta winner soul is not normal (BBC Two), Jayde Adams has returned to her hometown and Bristol is delighted to have her back.

In addition to making a documentary for the series we are england (BBC One) in which she retraced her Bedminster roots, she was recently seen with co-star Joe Sims filming their upcoming ITVX sitcom, ruby talkingin the characteristic steep streets of Totterdown.

On an extended UK tour spanning four months, the Bristol24/7 Person of the Year will perform the first two of four homecoming stand-up shows at the Bristol Old Vic on April 2, with now to be added another two on June 25.

His new solo exhibition, Men: I can save you follows the bestseller of its acclaimed predecessor, The ballad of the old face of Kylie Jennerwhich became the stand-up special for Amazon Prime serious black sweater – a show that launched worldwide and subsequently went viral on TikTok, recording 150 million views.

Adams vows to “showcase her smart working-class voice” as she leads men into the “new world” of inclusive feminism she has championed throughout her writing and performances to date.

Men: I can save you it is full of what she considers the best path to salvation: “sharp humor and telling it like it is”.

Jayde Adams: Men, I Can Save You is at the Bristol Old Vic on April 2 and June 25, at 2:30pm and 7:30pm on both dates. Limited tickets are available at www.bristololdvic.org.uk.
