Live: M5 reopens near Portishead after car rolls over

Traffic was brought to a halt on the M5 near Portishead tonight following reports of an overturned vehicle. Cars remain parked northbound between junctions 20 and 19.


Cars have been stuck on the highway since around 7:24 p.m. tonight. Avon and Somerset Police have been contacted for further information.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix reports: “All traffic has temporarily stopped and traffic is at a standstill due to an overturned car on the northbound M5 from J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon) to J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead).”
