      This Is The Kit are among a yet-to-be-announced list of artists who will perform at the newly renovated Bristol Beacon next year.

      Following its five-year transformation, Bristol Beacon will reopen on November 30 of this year, revealing new performance spaces including the 2,000-plus capacity Beacon Hall, the 500-capacity Lantern Hall and the new 500-capacity Weston Cellar. for 200.

      While the full reopening schedule has yet to be announced, some of the first events to take place at the venue include the return of Simple Things Festival for its 10th year (and the first time since 2019), as well as a series of shows. from artists like Jools Holland and the Bootleg Beatles, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the music collective Penguin Cafe.

      There will also be comedy shows hosted by John Robins and Ross Noble.

      “We are delighted to finally be able to confirm the reopening date,” said Louise Mitchell, chief executive of Bristol Beacon. “The team is busy putting the finishing touches on our opening season, where we will be showcasing a series of commissioned and UK premieres, and inviting all of our city communities to Beacon to explore the new spaces, celebrating creativity and inclusion in a way that only Bristol can. In the meantime, we are delighted to announce that we will be welcoming some fantastic artists and festivals and putting our first tickets on sale.”

      Thomas Frost, co-founder of Simple Things Festival, said: “The reopening of Bristol Beacon is one of the biggest moments for the city and it will be great to be back in our spiritual home for our tenth edition. The Beacon will be such an integral part of the Bristol music scene, championing local and grassroots artists as well as supporting projects and events across all genres of music. We are working with the team to really utilize every part of the building, which will give us a great new dynamic for our 10th anniversary.”
