CITYZENDuck’s predicted XI: Crystal Palace v Manchester City

Manchester City return to action after 7 full days without a match. The lads are as fit and rested as one could hope for this time of year, and that gives Pep Guardiola a full stable of options. So who will the Catalan choose to start at Selhurst Park? Here is my guess on the lineup. Fresh off his 100th Premier League clean sheet, Ederson starts in goal.

City seems to finally have all its center-backs healthy. That being said, it now becomes much more difficult to keep everyone happy and involved. Rúben Dias has solidified what had been a shaky backline at times, and this time we’ll pair him up with Aymeric Laporte. The full-backs for this will be Rico Lewis instead of Kyle Walker, and City’s most consistent defender, Nathan Aké.

Rodri, İlkay Gundoğan and Kevin De Bruyne. City’s midfield remains unchanged from the one they last faced Newcastle. Rodri has been a machine for City this season, and Pep has been lucky to have him as Kalvin Phillips struggles to find his place at his new club.

We kept the midfield the same and we’ll keep our three forwards as well. Jack Grealish has just won the Etihad Player of the Month award and has been City’s best striker since he returned from the World Cup. Erling Haaland is just 5 goals shy of the Premier League record in a 38-game season. The recent return to form of Phil Foden could be just what the team needs to push towards May 28.
