Jeffrey Christensen told WMUR that about a month ago, the person who cleans his Belmont Street rental called him just before a storm and said the trailer would prevent him from clearing the snow.

“I said, ‘what trailer?’ Christiansen said.

Since the caravan appeared, he said he called the police, who said that because it is on private property, there was nothing they could do.

Christiansen also said he has called several towing and salvage companies, but no one will take him.

“Everyone says it’s too big, too old. We can’t do anything or we won’t,” Christiansen said. “There was one who said ‘oh yeah, we’ll take care of that,’ and they never showed up.”

Footprints in the snow from the trailer door Friday night raised concerns that someone might be living there.

Christiansen said he would continue to try towing companies, including out-of-state ones, to see if someone tows the trailer he owns.

“If anyone wants a trailer, here’s one!” Christiansen said.
