The pub is a beloved British institution, with the act of having a few cold drinks firmly ingrained in our culture. But if you fancy being on the other side of the bar for a change, you’re in luck, because a bar company has hundreds of bars available to rent or manage.
Stonegate currently has over 400 pubs listed as available under lease across the UK, including 20 in Greater Manchester. The company, owned by private equity firm TDR Capital, says it is the UK’s largest pub company, with a portfolio of more than 4,500 bars, pubs and nightclubs.
It’s the name behind some well-known brands, including Be at One, Walkabout, and Slug and Lettuce. Stonegate is looking for new publicans to join his team and take over many of his bars, giving a lucky few the chance to actually live in the pub.
