George, Charlotte and Louis are expected to join King for the coronation procession

The three children of the Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to take part in the procession from Westminster Abbey that will follow the King’s coronation on May 6.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are likely to accompany the King and Queen Consort as they leave the Abbey after the service, the Times reported.

The children are expected to join their parents in a carriage behind Charles and Camilla, who will ride the Golden State Coach back to Buckingham Palace.

George will be nine years old and Louis five, while Charlotte will turn eight just four days before the coronation.

George, who is second in line to the throne, and Charlotte attended the state funeral of their great-grandmother, the Queen, at Westminster Abbey in September.

Prince Louis was not present and is believed to have been deemed too young to attend the service with his parents William and Kate.

The royal children delighted the crowds when they showed off their royal waves while celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee from their great-grandmother last year.

They made an appearance on the balcony of the palace for the flyover, eliciting some comical reactions from Louis, who put his hands over his ears, probably due to the roar of the plane.

Louis also shared a sweet moment with his grandfather as he sat on Charles’ lap during the Jubilee Pageant as the parade passed the royal box on the last day of the celebrations.

The Times reported that current coronation rehearsal plans do not suggest the Duke and Duchess of Sussex or the Duke of York take part in the procession.

The newspaper also reported that Harry and Meghan’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, had not yet been invited to the coronation.

The coronation date will be Archie’s fourth birthday while Lilibet doesn’t turn two until June 4.
