Spence was given a tough assignment today. He faced Kylian Mbappé, who started at PSG’s left-back, while Lionel Messi was also in the team.

However, Rennes produced a marvelous performance. Karl Toko Ekambi scored just before the break, and Arnaud Kalimuendo netted a second just after the break.

Spence was a quality loan signing from Forest last season. He made 44 appearances for the club and helped them end a 23-year wait for a return to the Premier League.

Now, he is busy trying to make a name for himself in France. He must have been frustrated during the first half of the season, with Conte all but refusing to give him a chance in his team.

Forest wasn’t really in the running to sign Spence in the summer. Instead, they identified Neco Williams, as last season’s right-back had his heart set on a move to Tottenham.

Get French Football News was really impressed with Spence today. He was dubbed ‘unstoppable’ after his performances and this victory will live long in his memory.

It’s hard not to take immense pride that Spence is doing well for Forest fans. The Reds loved that he performed week after week last season and wished him well.

Not signing him has been a massive detriment. As good as Serge Aurier has been, Williams hasn’t really proven to be as effective as Spence when it comes to linking up with Brennan Johnson.

Spence was featured against PSG this afternoon. He finished the game with a pass success rate of 91% and managed to keep Mbappé and Messi at bay throughout.

It will be very interesting to see what the future holds for Spence. It seems unlikely that Conte will be at Tottenham next season and it will be intriguing to see if the right-back can catch a glimpse.
