Nottingham Forest star Emmanuel Dennis praised by BBC pundit Steve Sutton

Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis was praised for BBC pundit Steve Sutton on Friday night when the Reds lost to Newcastle. The 25-year-old dismissed Forest up front, but it ultimately proved to no avail as the Magpies won 2-1.

Dennis started a game for the fourth time in the Premier League this season. He closed his start with a goal and took it extremely well against the team with the best defense in the division.

Steve Cooper gave the Nigerian a start against Newcastle. He had impressed off the bench against Tottenham and deserved a big chance from the get-go against the Magpies.

Dennis signed for Forest from Watford in the summer. He cost the club £20m but for whatever reason, it just hasn’t worked out for the versatile player.

Sutton was desperately impressed on Friday. After he had jumped on Nick Pope in the first half, he warmed to the striker during his stint at BBC Radio Nottingham.

He said: “Dennis has done exceptionally well there. It’s absolutely brilliant.”

Dennis now deserves to start for the Reds more often. He has shown that he is capable at Premier League level and, frankly, to some extent he is producing good results.

The 25-year-old has not found life at the City Ground easy. He has been forced to wait patiently for an opportunity, but now he is trying to seize it with both hands.

Dennis deserves a game streak. He had quality against Newcastle and was a Forest player who certainly didn’t deserve to be in the losing team.

Forest is in serious trouble at the bottom of the Premier League table. They are now ranked 16th in the division and are looking towards relegation given their current form.

However, with Dennis on the team, the Reds have every chance. The striker deserves his chance to shine and can hopefully score a few more goals before the season ends.
